The sensor board includes an acceleration sensor, a passive infared module, two light sensors, a touch/proximity sensor and a thermostat.

I think you should use 0.01uF capacitors instead of the 0.1uF capacitors.

The capacitors limit the bandwidth of the channels to minimize noise (See datasheet ). However, for most of our applications the actual values don't matter too much. Of course it makes sense to use the same capacitor values for all ADXL filter capacitors.

Identify the version of your board. If there is a T-junction of traces connecting a pin from the upper row with a pin from right, you have to cut two traces. Make the first cut so that the two pins are not connected anymore. Make the second cut so that the pin on the pin 1 of the daugher accellerometer board goes to pin 4 of the SensorBoard.

NOTE: The numbering on the board is different (reversed) to the numbering on the MiniSensorBoard! (Mark Thompson - 12 Mar 2003)
